Jatziri Barron is a Mexican visual artist and muralist currently based in Houston, TX that passionately uses her art as a powerful medium to advocate for the celebration of cultural identity, diversity, and the unification of communities. Her work is a testament to the profound beauty that arises from embracing one's roots and fostering connections across races, religions, cultures, and backgrounds.

In her own words, Barron articulates the essence of her recent creations, stating, "We are an extension of nature, magnifiers of our culture and identity. Our skin tells stories about our ancestors; we are our colors, we are our roots, and we are proud"

Barron honed her artistic skills at Glassell School of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Her portfolio includes collaborations with esteemed institutions such as the Witte Museum of San Antonio, as well as private companies and clients in both the U.S. and Mexico, including notable names like Fendi, Major Soccer League, The Houston Toyota Center, and the East End Cultural District of Houston, among others.

Her works have graced numerous exhibition spaces, including the Kinder Morgan Building in Houston Downtown, the Mexican Consulate in Houston, Glasstire Gallery, Silver Street Studios, Glassell Building, The Historic Texaco Building Houston, Winter Street, The POST Houston, and The Toyota Center, to name a few. Barron is part of the 2022 Artist INC Cohort and additionally she is a proud recipient of the City's Initiative 2023 Grant.
