Local Artists
Sharron Carnes is a Uvalde artist, educator, and founder of Encina Art Center, a creative hub dedicated to supporting artists and building community through the arts. A lifelong resident of Uvalde, she discovered painting later in life after a career in education and has since become known for her expressive oil paintings inspired by travel, nature, and the spiritual beauty of everyday places. Through Encina Art Space, Sharron continues to cultivate opportunities for artists to learn, create, and connect.
